FILESOFT ADJUSTED RECURRING DATES 0.1.0
Editable teaching example

Move a due date past weekends and listed holidays while preserving the original
recurring schedule. This is a separate teaching file, not an Asset Care update.

GET STARTED
Open Filesoft Adjusted Recurring Dates_0.1.0.fmp12 in FileMaker Pro on macOS.
Click Load examples once, then choose a case in the sidebar. There are 22 cases.
Edit an input and click Refresh results to commit the change. Switching cases
also saves the current inputs. Repeated loading preserves existing records and
edits; it does not reset the examples.

THE RULE
Each scheduled date is calculated directly from the original calendar anchor:
anchor month + occurrence number x interval in months. Preserve the anchor's day
of month, using the last valid day where that month is shorter. The first shown
occurrence is editable; 0 means the anchor itself. The next two rows follow it.
This differs from the earlier Recurring Due Dates file, which showed three dates
after its selected occurrence.

Keep a scheduled date when it is Monday–Friday and is not a listed holiday.
Otherwise, roll forward until the next eligible date. Never feed that adjusted
date back into the calendar recurrence. Scheduled and adjusted values are separate
calculation fields; refreshing does not write back to the anchor or occurrence.

Holiday entries are exact dates for this example only. Blank slots are ignored.
Duplicates and holidays falling on weekends do not add another exclusion. An
observed or substitute holiday must be entered explicitly. There is no downloaded
holiday calendar and no automatic annual repetition of a listed holiday.

WHAT TO TRY FIRST
Case 02: January 31, 2027 becomes February 2 when February 1 is listed as a closure.
The other scheduled dates remain February 28 and March 31.
Case 03: a second closure moves only the affected deadline to February 3.
Case 09: the annual schedule returns to February 29 in 2032; that Sunday adjusts
to March 1, while the original February 29 anchor remains intact.
Cases 21–22: a row may have a valid scheduled date but no supported working date;
other rows may exceed the supported calendar range entirely.

REFERENCES AND EDITS
Reference values are for the originally loaded inputs. The message changes when
you edit inputs, so those fixed references are not presented as expected answers
for your custom dates. Restore the original values to compare again. To start
fresh, keep your edited file and use another copy of the original downloaded file.

SCOPE
Months: whole numbers 1–120. First occurrence: whole numbers 0–1200.
Three rows, six optional holiday dates, Monday–Friday working week, forward-only
adjustment. The search stops at year 4000 or a 31-day safety limit. These input
and search limits are teaching-file policies. A missing or invalid input is not
silently replaced by today's date or a default number.

No work orders, completion-based scheduling, reminders, holiday service, network
requests or analytics. This file does not skip missed occurrences. Dates are
entered using FileMaker's current date format; displayed results use YYYY-MM-DD.

COMPATIBILITY AND EVIDENCE
Requires FileMaker Pro 19.6.1 or later on macOS; FileMaker Pro is not included.
The loader uses transaction script steps. Generated and re-exported using
Claris tools 26.0.2.219. Owner screenshots demonstrate cases 02, 04, 09, 21
and 22 on macOS. They do not establish native testing of every case or version.
Windows, FileMaker Go, WebDirect and hosted use have not been tested.

This is a learning example. Keep a backup before adapting it to your own work.
